Audition Workshops!

Monday, August 18, and Wednesday August 20^th at

Presbyterian Church, Mount Vernon, on Broadway and 15^th, across from Skagit Valley Hospital

 7-11 year olds:  10am-Noon

Teens, 12 and up:  1pm-3pm 

Bring your audition material with you: a one minute song and/or a one minute monologue.  For help locating appropriate material, see the document “The Audition Materials”. 

Auditions really test one’s confidence and talent.  For the parents who want to prepare their children best for the audition process; our goal is to prepare the actors, encourage them, and boost their skills. 

Participants will receive an audition packet easy for parents to follow, so they can be a part of this experience too! With easy tools, such as an audition day checklist, audition bag packing sheet, and even a rehearsal pointers sheet, both the performer and their parents will feel confident in walking into an audition!

 Attendance at the workshop does not guarantee placement in the cast of “The Wiz”.  Auditions for “The Wiz” are August 25 and 26 @ Presbyterian Church, Mount Vernon, from 6-9pm.  Call for an audition time 360-466-3072.

META is looking for mentor-worthy adults to be a part of the cast as well.  “The Wiz” is a 1970’s Broadway adaptation of “The Wizard of Oz”.  Our production will have a funky R&B sound, large cast, sassy energetic characters and choreography with a hip-hop flair.
