Welcome to

Performing Arts

META Performing Arts Welcomes you!  META stands for Multicultural Education in the Theatre Arts. Formerly known as Northwest Children's Theatre, META is the exciting home of theater arts for youth from the greater Skagit Valley region. We offer live theater performances for children and teenagers twice a year, as well as a summer performing arts camp.

Our Mission: To nurture the spirit of our youth by offering education and development of life skills through the creative process of the performing arts, to embrace the diversity of our community, and to reach out to those underserved and at-risk.

Celebrating 12 years of service to the youth of the greater Skagit Valley region.

We are putting the photos from the full history of META Performing Arts and all our productions and projects from 1997 to the present in an online archive as a community history resource and an ongoing legacy of personal memories honoring the spirit of our children.

We will be working hard to get all the photos online, sorted into their appropriate albums and captioned.  Please be patient and check back often.  Let us know if you see photos in incorrect albums or see duplicates.

You can order prints of pictures in the archive and even create gift photo mugs, t-shirts, refrigerator magnets, greeting cards, etc. from pictures stored there.

We have also collected scanned versions of news stories and reviews about the productions and the organization and stored them in their own archive.

Be sure to check the "History" page to read more details about the productions and projects themselves..

Our Latest Production highlights have a menu link at the left of this page.

In the archive, if you click on a small picture, you'll see it full sized.

Please email if you have questions about using the photo archive ordering process.  We will assist you.

Click on  individual productions and projects to go directly to their archive albums.
(Note: See the drop down menu in the archive site to move around among the various albums.  Not all photos are high enough quality for all print sizes, look for comments.)
